Spending just a day in Kathmandu, Nepal will leave you with a memory full of unforgettable images of excellent craftmanship of artisans and artists of both hindu and buddhist temples/ stupas. My sketches (ink on paper, handmade lokta paper)inspired by views of some of them are here they are not the exact pictorial impressions but an artist’s viewpoint:
Pashupati Temple Complex
A view in Patan, Kathmandu
An impression of combination of Stupas
An impression of Temples in Valley
The Buddhist installations you see all over in Valley
Lions and Bells are essential part of most temples
A typical shop of Brass and Copper wares in Kathmandu
A typical shop of puppets and masks in Kathmandu
The omnipresent Buddhist prayer wheels, these on way to Muktinath
I love these sketches, so beautifully reminiscent of Kathmandu
